Komplex’s Polo Day raises funds for injured jockeys

A leading UK healthcare group held a prestigious polo event in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund.

The charity, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, will benefit from £1,950 raised on the day at Shrewsbury Polo Club, which has been topped up to £2,500 by organisers Komplex Group.

The Injured Jockeys Fund provides holistic welfare support and world-class rehabilitation services, with three state-of-the-art rehabilitation centres as well as the provision of leading concussion management and mental wellbeing support for injured jockeys and horse riders.

Tom Roe, CEO and founder of Komplex Group, said:

“Komplex supports many people who have sadly been injured playing sports, including former jockeys, so it seemed a natural fit for us to raise money for a charity such as the Injured Jockeys Fund.

“The charity does phenomenal work to improve the lives of injured individuals, and we are delighted to have been able to raise funds for them.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in the event – sponsors, suppliers, those who donated raffle prizes, the polo players, the venue and our guests of course”

Alongside the polo, attendees enjoyed a raffle and fundraising games to raise further funds. Sponsors included Access, Broad Capital Investments, CSK Legal, Flexi Recruits, and H2O Networks, with drinks kindly provided by Brose Wine.

Charity CEO Lisa Hancock added:

“We are very grateful to the Komplex Group for raising funds for the Injured Jockeys Fund at their recent polo event at Shrewsbury Polo Club.

“The monies raised will help contribute towards the support and services we provide to injured jockeys and their dependants as needed. We would like to thank them for their support and efforts in organising this successful and entertaining event.”

Komplex is a group of at-home healthcare companies supporting individuals across the UK with everything from complex physical to high acuity mental health conditions.
