Raising £3,500 after completing the Great North Run

We’re proud to celebrate an incredible achievement by our team at Komplex Group, as three of our colleagues completed the Great North Run while raising over £3,500 for Newlife, The Charity for Disabled Children.

Taylor Hillman, Molly Jones, and Chris Varney took on the 13.1-mile course from Newcastle City Centre to South Shields, finishing in a fantastic time of 2 hours and 27 minutes.

The team chose to support Newlife due to personal connections with colleagues and friends who have children with disabilities. What began as a modest fundraising target of £500 quickly gained momentum thanks to creative social media efforts and strong community support.

Their dedication means that more children will receive life-changing specialist equipment provided by Newlife.

Despite being novice runners, the trio trained together, motivated by the difference they knew they could make. Their shared determination, combined with the energy of the crowd on race day, made the experience both memorable and rewarding.

Inspired by the experience, the Komplex Group team is already planning to take part again in 2026, aiming to build on this year’s success. We couldn’t be prouder of Taylor, Molly, and Chris – not just for completing the run, but for making a real difference in the lives of others.
